The program
1. How does the OPPO trade-in program work?
When you buy a new OPPO phone on our website, you can trade in your current phone and get its trade-in value back as a refund. Search for your phone, answer a few quick questions about its condition, and you’ll see its trade-in value straight away.
After you place your order, our trade-in partner Reflow Hub (RHEX) will email you a prepaid shipping label. Post your old phone to Reflow Hub, and once it passes inspection, we’ll refund the trade-in value to the payment method you used for your order.
2. Who is Reflow Hub?
Reflow Hub Pty Ltd, trading as RHEX, is OPPO’s trade-in partner. They provide your quote and shipping label, inspect and grade your phone, wipe its data and buy the device from you. OPPO looks after your new phone, your order and your refund.
The sale of your old phone is covered by the RHEX Trade-In Terms & Conditions. This is a separate agreement between you and Reflow Hub.
3. Who can use the trade-in program?
You can trade in a phone if you:
- are an individual Australian resident aged 18 or over (business customers aren’t eligible)
- own the phone outright (it can’t be leased, on a finance plan or used as security for a loan)
- haven’t traded in more than 2 devices through the program in the last 6 months
The phone also can’t be lost, stolen or IMEI blocked.
4. What phones can I trade in?
We accept a wide range of smartphones from Apple, Samsung, Google, OPPO and other brands. Use the trade-in search on this page to check whether your phone is eligible and see its value.
Quotes, grading and sending your phone
5. How is my phone graded?
Your phone’s value is based on a 5-grade system. You’ll answer a few yes/no questions and we’ll work out the grade for you.
Grade A: Excellent, like new
Grade B: Minor wear
Grade C: Functional issues or noticeable wear
Grade D: Screen problems
Grade E: Doesn’t power on
6. How long is my trade-in value valid?
Your trade-in value is valid for 24 hours. Complete your order within that time to lock it in. If it expires, you can get a new quote, but the value may have changed.
7. How do I send my phone?
Reflow Hub will email you a prepaid Australia Post label after you place your order, so postage is free. You have 14 days from the date the label is sent to post your phone.
- Pack your phone in a small, rigid box with bubble wrap or scrunched paper so it can’t move. Any Post Office sells a small box (BX1) that’s the right size.
- Print the label and attach it to the box. No printer? Show the label on your phone at a Post Office counter and they’ll print it for you.
- Drop it at any Australia Post outlet or street posting box, and keep your lodgement receipt.
Your trade-in reference is printed on the label, so you don’t need to include a note.
8. What if my parcel is lost or damaged in the post?
If Australia Post loses or damages your parcel, Reflow Hub will lodge a claim and pass on any compensation Australia Post pays, up to $100 under its standard compensation. You’ll need your lodgement receipt.
Your phone is your responsibility until it reaches Reflow Hub. Australia Post won’t pay a claim if the packaging wasn’t adequate.
Assessment and refunds
9. What happens after Reflow Hub receives my phone?
Reflow Hub inspects your phone to confirm it matches the condition you described. Once it passes, OPPO refunds the trade-in value to the payment method you used for your order, usually within 10 business days. You’ll get an email when the refund is processed.
10. What if my phone is graded differently?
If the inspection finds your phone is in a different condition, Reflow Hub will email you a revised offer. You have 7 days to respond, and you can either:
Accept the revised offer: OPPO refunds the revised offer amount to the payment method used for your order
Decline the revised offer: Reflow Hub returns your phone free of charge, and no refund is paid
Your new phone purchase isn’t affected either way.
11. What if I don’t send my phone?
If your phone isn’t posted within 14 days of the label being sent, Reflow Hub may cancel the trade-in or reassess your phone at its current price. Your new phone purchase isn’t affected.
Your data and support
12. What do I need to do before sending my phone?
To protect your personal information and make sure your phone can be accepted:
- Back up your data. Neither OPPO nor Reflow Hub can recover anything left on the phone.
- Turn off Find My (Apple), Activation Lock or Google Factory Reset Protection, and sign out of all accounts (iCloud, Google, Samsung and others).
- Remove your SIM card and delete any eSIM.
- Do a factory reset.
Phones that are still locked to an account can’t be accepted. Reflow Hub will also securely wipe every phone it receives.
13. How is my personal information used?
OPPO and Reflow Hub share your name, contact details, order details, phone IMEI and assessment results to run the trade-in program. Both handle your information under their privacy policies: the OPPO Privacy Policy https://www.oppo.com/au/app-privacy/ and the RHEX Privacy Policy.
14. Who do I contact with questions?
Your quote, shipping label, inspection or revised offer: Reflow Hub at tradein@reflowhub.com
Your new OPPO phone, order or refund: OPPO Customer Service at support.au@oppo.com
